!TOPIC 1 House/Person/Visit - Overview
!INDEX 1
This is the help for the overall system. It is displayed when <F1> is
pressed, because HOUSE.CHK contains:
!NOWRAP
BEFORE FILE
...
HELP HOUSE.HLP 1 1 1 CONTEXT
END
!WRAP
The key word CONTEXT specifies that this help is displayed in response
to pressing the help key. The declaration's location within the BEFORE
FILE block determines that the help key is <F1> and that the help can
be displayed from anywhere within this check file system. (Note: If
another BEFORE FILE ... HELP ... CONTEXT declaration occurs in a related
check file, this declaration may be disabled for the duration of the
session.)

!TOPIC 2 Address field
!INDEX 2
This is the help for the ADDRESS field. It is displayed when the cursor
is in the ADDRESS field, and either <Shift-F1> or <?> is pressed. <?>
activates help ONLY IF the cursor is in the first column of the field;
in any other location, <?> behaves as a normal character key.
This help is displayed because HOUSE.CHK contains:
!NOWRAP
ADDRESS
HELP HOUSE.HLP 2 1 +1 CONTEXT
END
!WRAP
Again, the key word CONTEXT specifies that the help is displayed in
response to pressing a help key. The declaration's location within a
field (ADDRESS) block specifies that the help keys" are <Shift-F1> and
<?> rather than <F1>.

!INDEX 3
This is the help for the CITY field.
!TOPIC 4 State field
!INDEX 4
This is the help for the STATE field.
!TOPIC 5 Bedrooms field
!INDEX 5
This is the help for the BEDROOMS field.
!TOPIC 6 Water field
!INDEX 6
This is the help for the WATER field.
!TOPIC 7 PERSON.REC
!INDEX 7
This help is brought up automatically before PERSON.REC is displayed,
because PERSON.CHK contains:
!NOWRAP
BEFORE FILE
...
HELP HOUSE.HLP 7 1 1
END
!WRAP
(As distributed, the HELP command is * commented out of PERSON.CHK. To
see this effect, remove the *.)
Absence of the key word CONTEXT specifies that this help will be
displayed automatically rather than in response to pressing a help
key. Note that this help can still be accessed by pressing a help
key at some other point in the program, then navigating the help file to
this location.
